Strength isn’t always loud.
Sometimes it’s the quiet courage to reach out.
I'm Tanu — counsellor, mother, lifelong learner. Let’s walk together towards healing, resilience and real connection.

“If something doesn’t break you, it makes you grow.”
With a Master’s in Family and Child Development and years spent supporting students’ emotional health, I, Tanu, have learned that the most powerful tool an individual has is a resilient spirit. I've always been a "happy-go-lucky" person, the kind of individual who can laugh at myself through the good, the bad, and those "how did I get here?" moments. To me, strength isn’t always a loud roar; often, it’s the quiet, steady choice to simply not give up. I embrace challenges with a friendly smile and a confident heart, knowing that resilience makes all the difference.
What I Bring
As a counsellor and a proud mother of two wonderfully spirited kids, I approach my work with warmth, patience, and genuine strength, ensuring that every child and family feels truly valued. I see myself as a lifelong learner, a "little monkey" who finds joy in observing and absorbing the wonderful qualities of those around me to become the best version of myself.
This perspective guides the way I work with children and parents, fostering a safe and understanding environment where growth and connection feel not just possible, but natural.
The Kintsugi way
Sometimes, we feel shattered, as if we've broken into a thousand pieces or fallen into a dark pit. But it’s in those moments of struggle that we can truly rediscover ourselves. Just like Kintsugi, where broken pottery is beautifully repaired with gold, we can embrace our imperfections and see the beauty in our flaws and resilience.
It’s important to celebrate ourselves and acknowledge that our journeys, with all their ups and downs, make us who we are. I truly believe that God has a wonderful plan for each of us. So, if things don’t go as we hoped, let’s choose to embrace it with a positive heart, knowing that it's all part of a greater purpose. Remember, you are stronger than you think!
A Safe Space for You
Listening to students, mothers, husbands, fathers, and wives share their stories has truly been a transformative experience for me. I've realised that what many people seek is simply someone who will listen without judgment—a safe space where they can express their feelings freely. I want to be that compassionate ear for you, a confidante who understands and values your experiences.
I believe in the incredible strength and resilience within you. It's amazing how even the smallest actions can create a significant impact in someone's life, and that’s why I’m committed to supporting you every step of the way. You’re not alone; I’m here to listen, engage, and help however I can.
Getting help is not a sign of weakness.
It is a sign that you care about your life, your relationships and your mental well-being.
🧠 My Workshops: Building Heart & Resilience
I truly believe that emotional health is something we can all learn and practice together. In my workshops, I focus on engaging with students rather than just lecturing; I’m here to help them discover their own inner strength. Whether we’re in a school setting or a private group, we explore the "good, the bad, and everything in between" with a mindset of learning and a touch of laughter.
Learning that setting a healthy boundary is a way of being kind to yourself.
Anger isn’t "bad"—it’s just a big feeling. We learn how to express it without letting it control us.
Shifting away from negative self-talk to build a positive self-image that lasts.
Words matter! Choosing kindness and becoming a role model.
Building resilience to face peer pressure and look out for one another.
Tools to breathe through the pressure and realise that your worth isn’t tied to a test score.
Services & Who should reach out
Life certainly has a way of revealing itself through our bodies and moods, doesn’t it? No matter how hard we try to maintain a positive outlook, there are those days when it feels like our heart, mind, and body just hit a wall. It's perfectly normal to go through ups and downs; what matters is how we navigate through them.
